Tips to Help Your New Listings Shine – Even During a Pandemic
First off, we know the last couple of months have been unpredictable and filled with change for everyone. Thank you to all our great friends and customers who have continued to trust Premier Title Agency to be the expert you need to close your real estate transactions.
Throughout the entire COVID-19 pandemic, our Realtor partners have shown an incredible ability to adapt. Virtual showings. a strong social media presence and eye-catching property listings continue to be important going forward.
A growing number of consumers were starting their home search online. A 2018 analysis found 44 percent of prospective buyers chose to surf the web as an initial step toward purchasing a property. Now buyers might start and end their search through virtual tools – from the first glimpse of a listing all the way through the (remote) closing table.
Embrace virtual marketing.
From three-dimensional interactive property scans to virtual tours, the National Association of Realtors gives a rundown of alternatives to traditional in-person showings. Including a virtual experience with property listings gives it that extra pop. Buyers can immerse themselves into a property from the comfort and safety of their own home. Other options: Livestream a virtual tour from your Facebook or Instagram to capture a broader audience and use FaceTime or Houseparty for a virtual individual showing.
Remember, words are still important.
Creating an emotionally stirring image of a property is just as important as listing off amenities. Make sure to tell a story in your listings. Instead of simply explaining the home has an open floor plan, say it has an open floor plan perfect for entertaining friends and family.
Not sure how to get started on this? Here are some suggestions based on new research from Point2Homes:
- Make sure the description conveys a property’s personality and style. The most popular adjectives in listing descriptions include: “walk-in,” “custom” and “open.” When you use these terms, push a bit further to explain why they are important.
- Granite countertops, hardwood floors and stainless-steel appliances all rank among the top in listing details across price ranges. Property descriptions need to be creative and practical.
- Grammar and spelling are important. A property description is often the buyer’s first impression of a house. Get it right.
